In today’s increasingly connected world, many organizations are embracing the power of distributed teams. While this offers numerous advantages, it presents unique challenges also: like fostering team cohesion and collaboration. That’s why, for the first time, our distributed team came together in person in Hong Kong, embarking on an unforgettable day.
Teal Goal is excited to announce that we have joined the Business Environment Council (BEC) in Hong Kong, an advisory council to the Government of the Hong Kong SAR. As one of 250 member organizations, we have the opportunity to facilitate environmental sustainability while enjoying membership privileges.
There are just a few days left: We are heading towards the Lunar New Year. I thank all our business partners and European colleagues for their excellent cooperation during these challenging times.
Over the past two years, one topic has dominated: COVID-19. These incidents have affected our business. However, we have achieved a lot in the last few months. 2022 was one of the most successful years in the company’s history. For example, we have reorganised the office in Hong Kong. At the same time, we opened a new workspace in Vietnam. And we implemented a new Code of Conduct for Business Partners and defined minimum requirements for BAUHAUS suppliers.
In 2023, Teal Goal will continue to invest. Today, it’s been a week since we started our workspace in Ho Chi Minh City. Our two new colleagues, Trang Nguyen and Chloe Huynh are working at the location of the AHK (Delegation of German Business in Vietnam). Thanks to their incubator program, it took us less than two months from the decision to successful implementation.
Due to the new, strong Omicron wave in Hong Kong, the local Government announced even tighter restrictions. We are adjusting our internal policies to respond to this new situation. Starting today, most of our employees work from home. It is, therefore, possible that you may not be able to reach our employees in the office by phone.
We are prepared: In the past 30 months, we have continued to enforce a new flexible Hybrid-Work Policy for all employees. Therefore, I do not expect that the newest restrictions have a major impact on our business. Daily operation is guaranteed without any problems. The office in Fortress Hill will remain open for business, and all day-to-day operations are assured.
